Smile

I went to the screening last week and I must say, that was probably meant to be. It was a screening for a new up coming horror movie called Smile.

Oh and why did I say it was meant to be? Well, I was having a whiplash of mood instability for the whole week and I just need that one time off to be by myself to recharged and to reflect. Towards the end of the week I have to go for a movie screening and it happened to be one of my favourite genre of all, it was a psychological horror film, Smile. I got an early call time a 10:30 am and when I arrived I happened to be the only media invited for the screening. Probably because I was the one keen on doing the junket interview later on Monday the following week. Anyway, at that split moment I thought why would I even bother because it is too early in the morning for a movie and I haven't got that much of proper sleep almost a whole month. But then again I am really glad that I went for it and truth be told it was a much needed me time for me. I find horror films really soothing for the soul and I'm glad I watched it because in my personal opinion the storyline was great as well as the script are all well written.

How do you know the movie really make a huge impact on you? The deliveries of the film itself really sell it for you. From the beginning of the movie I can immediately feel the anxiety and agitation from the psychiatric doctor, Rose played by Sosie Bacon. And I really like the way it implanted the idea of how trauma, guilt or anxiety eat you up from living to the fullest. Touché.

Overall, I got to say on Monday when I finally get to interview the director and also the script writer of the film I was star struck because I like his idea and take on about thinking deeper into our minds and put it out the "what ifs" in a form of movie which turned out to be a good one for me.

I really recommend you all to watch the film because of its subtly induced message. I give it a 10 out of 10 for this one.
